„Get out of Ukraine, Hungarian dogs!” – the Hungarians of Transcarpathia received another threat

Several churches and Hungarian organizations in Transcarpathia received another threatening letter on the afternoon of August 21.

In the letter, ukrainianwolf, after addressing Hungarians as Hungarian dogs, prompted them to take their belongings ​​and relatives and go to their “historical family”.

„Ukraine does not need your enclaves and communities!” – they wrote.

In the letter written in connection to the upcoming local elections, the author threatened the Hungarians with collective retaliation, with which they would “teach” the nation “respect” (by breaches and confiscation of property “for the benefit of Ukrainians”). A one-week ultimatum was given in the letter.

„The time has come!” – the mysterious letter is concluded with this line.

The list of recipients has been expanded. Yesterday, “only” the Berehove Town Council, the Hungarian Cultural Association of Transcarpathia, the Consulate of Hungary in Berehove, the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod, the Hungarian Democratic Union of Ukraine and our editorial office received the previous threatening message. Today, the GENIUS Charitable Foundation, the Medium-Level Organization of KMKSZ in Berehove, the Transcarpathian Regional Hungarian Dramatic Theater, the Transcarpathian Reformed Church, the Transcarpathian Hungarian Pedagogical Association, the Mukachevo Roman Catholic Diocese, the Pro Cultura Subcarpatica NGO, the Hungarian Democratic Party of Ukraine also received the letter.
